Every teams needs a bit of luck, and Tootings slice eventually arrived in the dying moments of this final encounter at the subbuteo stadium. Danny Bassett secured an interval lead from an evenly balanced half, when Wanderers failed to clear and Basset stabbed the ball low through a crowd of players. After the break Terrors retreated and it was no great surprise to see the home side equalise within ten minutes and then immediately take the lead. Things were to get even worse when Matt Drage picked up a knock, but had to remain on the field as three substitutions had already been made. An 89th minute penalty looked likely to knock in the final coffin nail but, as it flew high into the night sky, Tooting woke up for a final assault, culminating in a 92nd minute free kick on the edge of the area. Wedgies delivery caused chaos amongst the 21 men crammed into the box (yes Matte Pierson was there too), but it was Olle Bennett at the back post who managed to get some part of his anatomy onto ball and get it over the goal line to claim a precious point. Leiston took the points and completed the double over the Terrors on a bitterlycold afternoon. Tooting had the first chance in the 12th minute when Chace O’Neill went on a jinking run and his well struck shot was well saved by the visitors keeper Marcus Garnham. Leiston replied with an effort from Darren Mills but Matte Pierson made a fine stop and soon after Patrick Brothers clipped the top of the United crossbar. In the 33rd minute Danny Bassett went close with a powerful strike but the keeper again did well to keep it out. Dorking Wanderers came from behind to record their first ever league win at the KNK Stadium. It was Tooting who got the ideal start by opening the scoring inside a minute when Eddie Dines played in Omar Folkes who slotted home. After ten minutes Dan Walker worked an opening for Dorking but fired into the side netting. On the half- —–––––––––––––––––—––—–––– Five minutes into the second half Peter Wedgeworth had a cross come shot cleared off the line whilst at the other end Tom Tolfrey had a good chance but fired straight at Matte Pierson. Chace O’Neill then forced a fine save and Peter Wedgeworth fired inches over. Isaac Philpott headed wide for the visitors when well placed. The game turned sour in the 83rd minute when after a foul on man of the match Isaiah
Jones a mass brawl broke out which resulted in Sol Patterson- Tooting & Mitcham United FC : Matte Pierson, Tope Fadahunsi, Peter Wedgeworth, Eddie

Hendon completed a league double over Tooting on a bitterly cold afternoon at the
KNK Stadium. Matt Ball worked an early opening for Hendon shooting just wide. The
Terrors replied with a Dan Clements volley which was saved by keeper Tom Lovelock
and soon after Dan made a good run down the left and unluckily there was no one on
the end of his fine cross. In the 37th minute Reis Stanislaus was through on goal
but the keeper saved, then Juevan Spencer had a close range header somehow kept out
by the keeper and Ollie Bennett went close. However Hendon weathered the storm and
against the run of play took the lead in the 43rd minute when Niko Muir had a shot
blocked but the loose ball fell to Ashley Nathaniel- —–––––––––––––––––—––—–––– After the interval Tooting forced a series of corners with no end result. The visitors replied with a long range effort from Luke Tingey and Niko Muir fired over when well placed. Hendon doubled their advantage in the 82nd minute when a defensive mistake let in Zak Joseph to score. Tooting’s only real chance of the half came in stoppage time when a Tope Fadahunsi effort was deflected just wide for a corner. As with the Dorking Wanderers game Tooting deserved a share of the spoils or better but you do not always get what you deserve sadly. Two goals in the second half from the experienced Kevin Lisbie took Cray Valley (PM) into the London Senior Cup Final. In the opening forty five minutes chances were at a premium. The best effort came from the visitors Ryan Flack who forced a superb save from Matte Pierson. For Tooting Elijah Simpson and Quincy Rowe fired wide as the Terrors pressed in the closing stages of the half. After the break Shamal Edwards and Hady Ghandour went near for Tooting. However Cray Valley opened the scoring after 77 minutes when a Ryan Flack cross was headed home by Kevin Lisbie. Dan Clements then went very close for the Terrors on 80 minutes when he had a fierce shot beaten out by Andy Walker and his rebound effort was headed off the line by the resolute visitors defence. Cray Valley scored again five minutes from time with a brilliant long range lob from Kevin Lisbie which Matte Pierson could only tip into the back of the net.
