Tooting made the long trip to Winch’s Field and as the previous recent meeting at the KNK Stadium the teams could not be separated following a goalless draw which saw chances at a premium. The match was played on a poor playing surface with a swirling wind and amazingly this was the Terrors first league draw on their travels this season. The first action came midway through the first half when Herne Bay were reduced to ten men after their striker
Mark Lovell was shown a straight red for a two footed tackle. In the 28th minute
Antonio Simeone went close for United when his header from a Ashley Robinson free- Parkinson effort off the line as the home team threatened to break the deadlock. - After the break Tooting started brightly had plenty of possession without creating
any clear cut chances the nearest being a Jake Baxter free- Tooting & Mitcham Utd : Sheikh Ceesay, Sol Patterson- Report by Ian Bullock |

Tooting produced an excellent display to take the points scoring four goals in the
process to avenge the narrow defeat suffered at South Park earlier in the season.
The Terrors got the ideal start with a goal of the season contender from Chace O’Neill
who rifled in an unstoppable strike from 25 yards after seven minutes. Midway through
the half Sol Patterson- shot skim the post and Jake Baxter glanced just wide. It came as a surprise when the visitors, who were playing some nice football without threatening, equalised after 32 minutes when ex Terror Dylan Merchant slotted home from a corner at the far post. Back came Tooting and a minute before the break Serge Mafoko netted with a low drive after the visitors had failed to clear a free- —––––—–––––––––—––—–––– After the break United piled on the pressure and James Wastell in the visitors goal tipped over a Jordan Wilson special. In the 72nd minute Tooting got a deserved third when Marcel Barrington who had a promising game set up Matt Price to score from close range. Midfield maestro Chace O’Neill then clipped the South Park woodwork fifteen minutes from time. However Chace was not to be outdone knocking a slide rule pass to the influential Jordan Wilson who blasted into the roof of the net to complete the scoring after 84 minutes. In the Terrors defence Antonio Simeone turned in another solid display ably backed
up by partner Adriano Moraes. Also impressing were Taiwo Adebowale who has settled
in well at left back and skipper Sol Patterson- opposite flank. Frank and Paul who were without the services of Ashley Robinson and
Kurtis Pykes are building a formidable squad. It was also good to see former academy

Hastings completed a league double over the Terrors on a very windy and drizzly afternoon at The Pilot Field. Sheikh Ceesay was called into action early on saving well from Simon Johnson. Tooting playing into the wind started to create some chances with the home keeper Harry Girling making a couple of fine stops to deny Jake Baxter. Matt Price also fired wide. At the other end Liam Wilson miskicked from close range as the first half ended goalless. —–––––––––––––––––––––––––– After the break Jordan Wilson went close with a cross- started to apply some pressure in the closing stages and Gavin Quintyne had an effort saved. Serge Makofo, Jordan Wilson and Matt Price all involved with Jake Baxter on the end
of it finishing well. The home side who had not threatened pulled a goal back almost
immediately through Ross Chalke. After 77 minutes Serge Makofo forced an excellent

Sittingbourne produced a real smash and grab raid scoring with their only shot on
target in the 94th minute to continue their good record of just one defeat in six
visits to Imperial Fields. Tooting will be wondering how on earth they did not win
the game as the visitors were on the back foot for the majority of the match with
so many goal- - After the break Tooting created more openings especially in the 63rd minute when
they had three chances in the space of thirty seconds with Chace O’Neill, Jake Baxter
and Serge Makofo all having efforts blocked on the line. Five minutes later it was
hard luck again when Molloy punched a cross out to Antonio Simeone whose volley clipped
the crossbar and went over. In the 88 th minute the Sittingbourne goalie made his
first mistake when he failed to hold a Leon Lalor- the line. In the 90th minute Marcel Barrington had a chance but put it wide. Deep into stoppage time Sittingbourne launched a long clearance to Steven Ita who played the ball to Jordan Wells who slid it under Matte Pierson to seal an unlikely win and break Tooting hearts at the same time. United still created a chance to equalise but Jake Baxter saw his effort go into the side netting and the Terrors frustrating afternoon was complete.
