Ryman South

0-0

Tooting’s excellent drainage system paid dividends yet again as many of the Ryman League games were postponed. The crowd was also swelled by many London Branch Carlisle United supporters as their game at Crawley was postponed. It was the visitors who had the first chance of the game in the opening minute with Ryan Golding hitting the outside of the post. We also hit the woodwork through Max Noble after one of his mazy runs, Sol Pinnock firing the rebound wide. We had a couple of decent efforts from Sol Pinnock and Jordan Cheadle saved by the impressive Adam Molloy in the Sittingbourne goal.

After the break Ryan Golding headed just over from a free-kick for the Brickies. We  then had a good period of pressure with three efforts blocked in quick succession  by the visitors defence and Colin Hartburn heading over from a corner. The highlight of the half was a great goalbound  shot by Bashuri Alima which was brilliantly saved by Adam Molloy in the 73rd minute and then Craig Watkins went close with a header. In the closing stages the Kent side went close but our ever reliable keeper Paul Smith made a fine stop to deny George Crimmen.

In the 87th minute Sittingbourne had another chance and a man overlap on a fast break from a corner but Joe Taylor fired wide. In stoppage time Max Noble went down in the box but the referee waved away our appeals for a penalty. The crowd was 195.

Ryman South

2-1

Tootings awayday woes continued with a last minute defeat. Terrors fell behind to a soft set piece move after half an hour of an uneventful first half. Shortly after the break Sol Pinnock pounced on the home sides inability to clear a free kick, slotting home the third rebound from about six yards.

Catching the eye was Blanchard Bikuilan, stepping up from the reserves, who impressed with both his defensive skills and several useful forays forward in the second half. Chances were again few and far between but, just when it look like a third successive draw had been secured, a late penalty was conceded and netted. A disappointing end was compounded with Nathan Gordons dismissal for the spot kick offence.

Team : Smith, Bikuilan,Gordon, Alima, Knock, Hartburn, Secon-Smith(Nkoma), Quarm, Pinnock(Simpson), Watkins, Noble  Not used: Harvey Cheadle.

Ryman South

0-0

Another frustrating evening on the road as Tooting were unable to convert a wealth of possession into shots (let alone goals). Sub TJ Nkoma carved out two chances late on - which probably count as the best efforts of the evening.

Mazin Ahmed and Juan Onciva debuted, whilst fullback Blankard Bikvilan again caught the eye with another accomplished performance.

Team : Smith, Bikuilan,Gordon, Alima, Knock, Hartburn, Simpson(Nkoma), Quarm, Ahmed(Watkins), Jee(Secon-Smith), Onciva Not used: Harvey Cheadle.
